The soccer action at Optimist Park picked back up Thursday evening after two days of rain-outs earlier in the week.

In Tiny Mites action, it was Dayspring putting on an offensive showing with an 8-2 win over the Scorpions.

Leading the way for Daysprings was James Isabella with six goals on the night, while Jaysori Fowler and Tony Lagman both added a goal each.

For the Scorpions, it was Marie Patterson Robbins and Ryne Melzer picking up goals.

Trent Harris had a goal taken away on an off-sides penalty, his third of the year.

On the opposite field, it was the Pythons shutting out the Cobras 2-0 to remain perfect on the season.

Detorrian Barnes and Keaton Meese scored for the Pythons.

The Cobras missed out on a golden scoring opportunity when Cole Reagan shot from the left side but quick acting Python defenders ended the threat.

The Tigers took a 5-1 lead over the Knights with Hunter Smith picking up the lone goal for the Knights, while Benjamin Rooney scored two goals for the Tigers.

Nathan Ziglar, Amalia Nuccio, and Connor Oswald added goals for the Tigers.
