A Chipley woman was killed Tuesday morning after her vehicle collided with a tree on State Road 2.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Jessica Paul was heading east on State Road 2 around 8:43 a.m. when her vehicle drifted left onto the north shoulder of the roadway. The front of the vehicle hit a speed limit and seatbelt sign, making it spin counterclockwise. The vehicle finally stopped after its right side hit a tree.
Airheart airlifted Paul to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where staff pronounced her dead. According to highway patrol, Paul was not wearing a seatbelt.
