A man was caught trafficking methamphetamine again after being jailed for drug trafficking in September.
According to a press release from the Jackson County Drug Task Force, authorities delivered items to manufacture methamphetamine to Keith Brian Barnes on Sept. 27, 2011, to his Kynesville home. After the delivery, Barnes was arrested and a search of his home revealed methamphetamine, evidence of methamphetamine production, methamphetamine oil and drug paraphernalia. Barnes was jailed and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of listed chemicals; sale of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Barnes later posted bond and was released. The task force received word that he began dealing again.
On Feb. 16, the task force performed another controlled delivery on Barnes, bringing him items used to create methamphetamine. Barnes was again arrested. He was found in possession of items to create meth, and the medication Clonazepam without the required prescription.
Barnes was charged with trafficking in amphetamine and possession of a controlled substance on Feb. 16. He was taken to Jackson County Jail.
