A Graceville methamphetamine lab was dismantled before the manufacturer was able to begin creating the drug.

According to a press release from the Jackson County Drug Task Force, Jamison Lance Fowler was arrested for an outstanding warrant for violation of state probation and additionally charged with attempted manufacture of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

On Thursday, the task force received a tip about a possible meth lab on Ivory Path in Graceville. Deputies went to the home to serve an arrest warrant on Fowler for violation of state probation.

Fowler had gathered the items to create the meth lab that morning, the press release said. Deputies arrived just as he was about to begin combining the ingredients to create the drug.

Because Fowler was going to make meth using the “Shake and Bake” method, a highly volatile procedure, the Jackson County Fire and Rescue was called in.

After deputies gathered evidence, Fowler was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
