Twenty acts highlight Country Crossing grand opening

DOTHAN, Ala. — Country Crossing’s official grand opening will be a 72-hour party and celebration, featuring 20 different music acts, ranging from Aaron Tippin and John Anderson to the Commodores.
The festivities begin Friday. Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. when country music artist Matt Kennon performs at the Country Crossing Party Pavilion. Five additional acts will perform Friday evening, highlighted by Neal McCoy.
The Grascals begin Saturday’s performances at 3:30 p.m., and the music won’t end until early Sunday morning when Joe Nichols and Tracy Lawrence perform.
The celebration ends Sunday with seven acts, beginning with the Locash Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. and ending with the Commodores at 12:30 a.m.
Admission is free.
“As we’ve said all along, Country Crossing will provide first-class country music entertainment and this lineup is just the beginning,” said Country Crossing developer Ronnie Gilley. “Our grand opening will be nothing short of spectacular, and we are looking forward to many more great performances in the months and years to come.”
In addition to the musical performances, ribbon cuttings will be held at each of Country Crossing’s venues Sunday, Jan. 17, including the George Jones Possum Holler Bed & Breakfast, Bluegrass Hollow RV Park, Lorrie Morgan’s Hot Chicken Restaurant, John Anderson’s Cafeteria and Darryl Worley’s Worley Bird Saloon.
