Man injured in bike crash

Chipley resident David D. Smith was found on the side of the road in critical condition as a result of a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the 37-year-old man was thrown from his motorcycle while negotiating a curve as he was westbound on Pioneer Road in Washington County.
Smith was thrown across the street from the motorcycle, which proceeded to glide down the road after the accident.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m.
Smith was transported by air ambulance to Bay Medical Center in Panama City.
The 1996 Suzuki 600 also suffered $5,000 in damage.
