Man charged in 2008 crash

Charges have now been filed in a fatal Washington County crash which occurred in the fall of 2008.
Driver Timothy C. Berg, 33, is charged with DUI manslaughter and driving while license suspended or revoked causing death.
In the September. 2008 accident, Berg was westbound on Washington County Road 284 when he failed to negotiate a curve, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The 1993 Buick he was driving traveled onto the north shoulder of the road and into a ditch, according to reports. Highway patrol reported the front of the car collided with a culvert and driveway access embankment.
Berg was ejected. He was taken by helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment.
His passenger, 29-year-old Jeremy J. Berg, was pronounced dead at the scene by Washington County EMS.
The press release did not say whether or how the two men were related.
Timothy Berg was arrested last Friday and the charges were announced Saturday.
