A Graceville man faces drug charges in a neighboring community.
Michal A. Tatum, who recently moved to Graceville from Wausau, was pulled over Friday, Aug. 14, on a traffic stop in Chipley.
A narcotics dog was used in the stop, and a search led to the discovery of items suspected to be components of a methamphetamine lab, according to Chipley Police Chief Kevin Crews.
Tatum is charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, resisting an officer without violence, and possession of methamphetamine.
Crews called on the public to contact his office if they suspect narcotics activity or other criminal offenses are occurring in their neighborhoods.
“The chemicals and process used to produce methamphetamine is highly dangerous and has the potential for violent explosions,” Crews wrote in a press release about the arrest. “Methamphetamine labs pose a danger to everyone as they can be easily transported in vehicles traveling through our streets and neighborhoods.”
