The Sneads Lady Pirates took a 51-10 win over Wewahitchka Monday night in the season opener for both teams.

The American Legion Auxiliary in Sneads, Unit 241, will honor area veterans and their spouses with a home-cooked luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the post on Legion Road. The lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Sneads Lady Pirates appear unstoppable as they racked up three more wins to keep their streak alive, having only lost one game this season. The Lady Pirates are 14-1 overall, with a perfect 8-0 mark in district competition.

The Marianna High School volleyball team hosted a Junior Varsity and Freshmen Tri-Match Saturday, with two county teams competing for the top spot. Teams from Cottondale and Sneads battled against each other, and Marianna.
