Durden re-elected in Grand Ridge

Incumbent Grand Ridge commissioner Ronnie Durden was re-elected to his seat Tuesday. He defeated Rodney Riddles 119 votes to 73.

Incumbent commissioner Ronnie Durden was re-elected to his seat on the Grand Ridge commission Tuesday.
According to unofficial totals released Tuesday, Durden received 119 votes. His opponent, Rodney Riddles received 73.
Of the 200 ballots cast, eight voters chose not to vote in the race between Riddles and Durden.
There are a total of 511 registered voters in Grand Ridge.
Durden, a Grand Ridge native, has served on the council for six years.
“People in Grand Ridge are the best people you could know. They’re helpful, they try to get involved in what we do ... when their neighbors are in need they step up to the plate,” Durden said in a previous interview.
