Woman arrested for abuse of senior

A Holmes County woman is accused of abusing an elderly victim under her care when she worked for a health care center in Jackson County.
Cigi Serrevara Snell, 26, was a certified nursing assistant employed with Signature Health Care Center of North Florida when the incident allegedly occurred in August this year. She has since been terminated by the company.
She is accused of slapping a 90-year-old woman across the face, reddening the area, according to a press release from Attorney General Bill McCollum.
Snell is charged with one felony count of abuse of an elderly adult. If convicted, Snell faces up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. She turned herself in to authorities at the Jackson County jail Wednesday. Snell’s bond was set at $2,500 Thursday.

SHE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ABUSING A 90 YEAR OLD WOMAN, IF SHE REALLY DID THAT. I HAVE WORKED IN HEALTHCARE AND STILL IS, IT TAKES A SPECIAL KIND OF PERSON TO WORK IN THAT ENVIRONMENT. I ONLY HOPE THAT THIS TYPE THINGS DON’T HAPPEN TO ANYONE.
