A Marianna man was arrested Tuesday after he was identified as a suspect in video surveillance footage.
According to the Marianna Police Department, officers were called out to the Dollar General store in Jackson Square on a report of retail theft.
Officers obtained a description of the suspect from store employees, as well as video footage shot inside the store.
As a result, police arrested Corey Williams, of 2926 Milton Ave., after a search of the area was conducted and Williams was located and detained on Harley Drive.
According to police, a search of Williams’ person produced the stolen merchandise — a Sanyo cell phone valued at approximately $50. Williams was turned over to the Jackson County Correctional Facility after his arrest.
