Two Jackson County residents died in separate Memorial Day weekend accidents, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.
A Marianna man died Saturday night in a one-vehicle traffic crash on Reddoch Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol reports,  at around 7 p.m. Saturday 35-year-old Michael Gene Stephens drove onto the shoulder of Reddoch Road about 900 feet west of the intersection with Dellwood-Cypress Road.
He overcorrected and entered the south shoulder, striking several trees, according to highway patrol reports.
The 1999 Dodge 1500 truck he was driving rolled over and he was ejected from the vehicle.
The truck came to rest in the middle of the road facing north, according to reports.
Stephens was pronounced dead on arrival at Jackson Hospital around 7:45 p.m.
On Sunday, just after noon, an elderly Sneads woman was killed in a head-on crash about a mile east of Sneads on U.S.  Highway 90.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 82-year-old Nell Anna Whittle was westbound when she crossed the center line and entered the path of an eastbound van driven by 81-year-old Ivory McMillan of Chattahoochee.
Although McMillan tried to take evasive action, troopers reported the van and the two vehicles collided on the center line.
Whittle was taken to Jackson Hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead around 4 p.m. the day of the crash. McMillan was not injured in the crash.
