Stolen tank recovered

The Marianna Police Department reports that a helium tank reported stolen Tuesday was located in safe hands, but its regulator is still missing.
Century Link, formerly Embarq, reported it missing on Tuesday. Representatives of the company say it was probably taken between 5 p.m. Oct. 22 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 23.
Authorities later learned an employee of the company which rented the tank to Century Link saw it discarded by the side of the road, with the regulator missing, and picked it up.
Thinking it might have fallen from the back of a truck, he picked it up and took it back to his own business.
With that sorted out, authorities still believe someone stole and discarded the tank, but kept the regulator.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Marianna Police Department at 526-3125 or CrimeStoppers at 526-000.

Helium?  Good for balloons, cartoons, blimps, rockets and assisted suicide.

If the regulator was unscrewed and not broken off, sounds like a new meth lab is in the works.
