Man charged with hitting pregnant woman

A Marianna resident was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant female early Tuesday.
According to the Marianna Police Department, Rodell Pete Jr. was charged after allegedly striking the woman who was pregnant with his child.
She was hit on the shoulder and leg, police said said.
According to police, the woman said an argument over sex ensued when he came to her home around 2:15 a.m., and that the altercation turned physical.
Pete was taken to the Jackson County jail. At his first court appearance Tuesday, his bond was set at $45,000, but Pete has a no-bail order because he is wanted in another county for other, unspecified charges.

jboy… Let’s see if I can sum this up. You must know the parties involved personally to pass such a judgement. Does it really matter if they are married? Does it really matter if there are other children involved? And a school night? Really? Are you saying that adults don’t have babies? She had made multipul reports of abuse but the police couldnt find him. But think about this, does it matter about all that stuff? What it boils down to is no man has the right to put his hands on a woman pregnant or not. If she didnt want to have sex at the particular moment that is her God given right since… ohhh wait for it….. your going to love this one….................................IT IS HER BODY… And if you look him up, this is not his first visit to the Jackson County Jail. Or the Calhoun County Jail and Lord knows what other county jail. Oh and when you look him up you will see his date of birth which makes him 21. I really hope he isnt to worried about being out on a school night. Did she pick a fine upstanding citizen to have a relationship and children with absolutely not, but you know people dont always make the best choices in life. We all live and learn, and hopefully she will do just that. You know if you are going to put Jesus’ name in your user name you should remember ‘judge not lest ye be judged’ We should be teaching our young boys that it is never ok to put their hands on anyone especially uninvited. We should be teaching our young girls to have more respect for themselves than to allow this type of behavior from men or anyone. And we should not be passing judgement and talking of things, if we dont know the facts or the details. Just an idea.

Pregnant, not married, father of the unborn is wanted, he is coming over at 2:15 on a school night wanting additional sex, physical violence ensues,she is slightly injured (perhaps) - or maybe she just didn’t feel like it at the time, so called the cops.
Now the guy is in jail with a moderate bond, she is still pregnant, probably having sex with someone else and there will be another fatherless child in the system.
The story did not mention if there were any other children involved on either side. Somehow I think the is very likely.
