On Thursday, U.S. Marhsalls in Texas arrested a Chipley man wanted for sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.
The investigation of Ramon Del Sol Hernandez began on June 12, which subsequently led Chipley Police Department to obtain a warrant for Hernandez’s arrest, according to CPD.
“Hernandez fled the Chipley area before his arrest warrant could be served. We tracked Hernandez to the Miami area with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force,” said the CPD report.
According to the CPD, Hernandez remained in the South Florida area for a few weeks before he apparently fled to Mexico.
“Around midnight on September 22, the Chipley Police Department received information that Hernandez was traveling by bus in Mexico in an attempt to re-enter the United States through south Texas. Shortly after lunch on the 23rd we were able to ascertain Hernandez exact location in Brownsville, Texas which led to his arrest without incident by the U. S. Marshals Service,” said the CPD report.
