A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Marianna man Monday.
According to a report from the Marianna Police Department, the incident began when officers responded to an accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
According to authorities, a vehicle heading west on Lafayette ran a red light, colliding with a vehicle that was traveling north on Pennsylvania.
This caused the northbound vehicle to collide with another vehicle on Pennsylvania, police reported.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, Jimmy Gene O’Bryan, 33, of 3750 Old US Road, was charged with knowingly driving with a suspended driver’s license, Marianna police reported.
Police also discovered there was an active warrant out of Calhoun County for O’Bryan, for failure to appear in court.
O’Bryan was arrested without incident, police reported, and was booked into the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
