The driver of this blue Chevrolet truck was taken by helicopter to a nearby medical facility after the vehicle crashed into a brick house at 6371 Butler Road Tuesday evening.  The name and the condition of the driver had not been released as of late Tuesday evening.  The home is the residence of Faye Cox, according to Bill Cloud, who identified himself as her brother. Cloud said the front portion of the truck came to rest just outside a room where Ms. Cox was watching television. He said she was shaken up by the experience but appeared to be unhurt.

Chase ends in crash; charges pending against Marianna man

An attempted traffic stop by Marianna police officers escalated into a westbound chase on Lafayette Street, ending when the pursued motorcycle driver’s vehicle struck a curb, according to a news release from Marianna Police Department.

3 arrested on meth charges in Sneads

A Marianna man spent part of his 39th birthday getting arrested on drug charges along with two of his buddies.
The men were arrested at a mobile home in Sneads where a suspected methamphetamine “cook” may have been under way, according to Sneads Police Chief Burt McAlpin.
