McClendon, Tanner engagement

Creola and Bertha Tanner of Cottondale announce the engagement of their son, Tracy Tyrone Tanner (T3), to Cloteal Simone McClendon. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Hugh and Lauretta McClendon of Quincy.
The prospective groom is a 1984 graduate of Cottondale High School and received a B.Sc. degree from the University of Mobile in 1989, where he is an all-time record holder for the men’s basketball team. He is also currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health care administration from Troy University.
The bride-to-be is a 1995 graduate of FAMU High School and received a B.Sc. degree from Florida A&M University in 2003. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Troy University in clinical mental health. She is employed with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities as a Qualified Mental Health Analyst.
The wedding will take place July 18, 2009 at 7 p.m. on the beach at the Newport Beachside Resort in Miami. The honeymoon will commence in Montego Bay, Jamaica on July 19. The couple will reside in Quincy.
