The Marianna Police Department is warning citizens to be cautions in dealing with door-to-door sales persons.
The city requires such vendors to obtain a permit before they can conduct business.
In recent days, several residents have encountered people at their door trying to sell home alarm systems, magazines and offering auto glass repairs, according to a news release from Marianna police.
The police department encourages residents to call 526-3125 if someone comes to their homes offering products or services.
Officers will be able to tell residents if the salesmen have the proper permit and are legally conducting business. Or, officers will check on the individuals with a patrol run through the neighborhood.
