A Georgia woman was arrested Wednesday on a trafficking charge after deputies found several boxes of pseudoephedrine sinus medications in the vehicle she was driving.

Janice Gail Outlaw, 36, is charged with trafficking in pseudoephedrine, according to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say she was pulled over on Interstate 10 near Mariana for an alleged but unspecified vehicle violation. Investigators also knew prior to the stop that Outlaw had a suspended and expired driver’s license, according to the press release.

A narcotics detection dog was deployed to sniff the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the driver’s side door. A search ensued, according to authorities, and five boxes of pseudoephedrine sinus medication were found inside the vehicle.

“In the course of the investigation it was determined that the sinus medication was purchased for the sole purpose for the manufacture of methamphetamine,” authorities stated in the press release.

Investigators also noted that a large package of coffee filters, some camp fuel and lithium batteries were found in the vehicle. These objects were purchased July 1 in Marianna, “and all are consistent in the manufacture of methamphetamine,” authorities said in the press release.

Outlaw is a resident of Colquitt, Ga., but had lived in Jackson and Calhoun counties in the past, according to Major Donnie Branch of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Her bond was set at $25,000 Thursday morning and she remained in the Jackson County jail as of noon that day.

Them outlaws from other states come to fl to commit crimes, they leave on probation, and come back on violation! Bet Ms Outlaw wishes she would have kept her butt at the house!
