Ambulance, cop car bang up on interstate

A fender-bender between an ambulance and a police car alongside Interstate 10 near Sneads caused minor damage and resulted in no injuries, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Both vehicles had responded to a crash scene around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the highway patrol, Jackson County Fire Rescue ambulance driver William C. Dees, 37, backed into a police car that had pulled in close behind it in the emergency lane of Interstate 10. Highway patrol reports that the police car, driven by Sneads police officer Jarret S. Tyus, 29, “was parked so close behind (the ambulance) that it obstructed the view of (the ambulance driver).” The left rear of the ambulance crashed into the left front of the police cruiser.
There was no damage to the ambulance, and roughly $1,500 worth of damage to the cruiser.
